LVED / Analog Collage Series

Earlier this year I was on a flight from DFW to MSP. With my head resting against the window I watched intently as we made our way through the clouds. I felt my body relax as the wing tipped gently to the left. I thought about the travel magic I fell in love with as a child and how much I still love it to this day. After a few moments of awe the plane leveled out, there was a ding in the cabin and we approached our final descent into my home airport, Minneapolis-Saint Paul.

If we’ve been connected for a while, you know that Tom and I have been a wanderers our whole adult lives. In fact, in the last two decades, we’ve had 18 different addresses spanning 14 cities across 7 states.

This analog collage series LVED was created from that unique experience. Recently, after our family landed in Dallas and the dust began to settle, this idea was born from reflection and the sincere desire to capture the essence of place.

LVED stands for LIVED and LOVED. Cities around the world that we’ve lived, loved and cherish as part of our story.

I’m curious, have any of these places been a part of your story too?

Dallas - Fort Worth International Airport, TX US

Phoenix Sky Harbor, Phoenix, AZ US

I love falling in deep love with a place moments after meeting it.

I believe in traveling far and wide as much as you possibly can. Meeting new people, seeing new places.

I’m amazed that we can wake up thousands of miles away from home and then go to sleep in our own bed.

I love the chest inflating feeling of stepping out for a cup of coffee, in a brand new city, as the sun rises.

John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York City, NY US

Harry Reid International Airport, Las Vegas, NV US
